Attendance Policy 31/01/2008

Good morning one and all,
 
Just a reminder about the Attendance Policy (that I know we are all aware of!).
Attendance is one of the most critical aspects of BNI.
It is your responsibility to attend every week.
If you cannot attend, you must send a substitute.
If you are absent without a substitute, then the attendance policy will kick in, and I will be following this to the letter – it’s important we have a level playing field for all members.
Your first absence in a rolling 6 months period – you will receive a phone call from me or one of the committee
Your second absence – phone call and first standard letter (wording set by BNI)
Your third absence – phone call and second standard letter (wording set by BNI)
Your fourth absence – letter stating your classification is now open (wording again set by BNI – and your membership will therefore cease)
If you are sending a substitute and are concerned they may not turn up, e-mail me and Phil in advance of the meeting, so that we know who your sub is. Otherwise their non attendance will constitute your absence.
If you miss a meeting without a sub, you will receive a phone call and appropriate letter – that’s the rules you all signed up to, and I know you would of course expect me as Membership Coordinator to follow.
This is the BNI policy – and states ‘if you do not follow this policy, it will weaken your chapter.’
